Yeah a lot of dealers are shady. I got lucky and found a good one that gave me no BS. I knew what I wanted to pay and got a fair deal on my trade in. This site and the internet in general helped so much. The downfall is the long wait.

Ordered my CBS 5 Door Premium on 10/5 from Van Bortel Subaru, they do things differently and provided a control number but no VON. Sales rep says he's hopefull ill be in the November allocation. I'm hoping since they are one of the biggest dealers in the nation that I can get it before December.

I actually drove that very car earlier today when I stopped by the dealership. It was delivered on 10/3. How do I know this? I considered taking this car off the lot that day (it arrived that morning) instead of ordering the WRB hatch. But, I decided against it, and went through the order process.

I only drove it because the dealer wanted to show me what I was waiting for...granted, it makes the wait a whole lot harder, but I feel like it will definitely be worth it

Ordered mine on 10/3. 13 dgm base sedan with fogs and dimming mirror with compass. I got a von and an email stating that a hold was placed that day. I havent heard anything since. Should i call the dealer for an update? They say they call when the car is approx. 2 weeks away but i feel as though they would know something else before then (like the hold being removed etc)

a) I got a better deal on the order, and it's being built exactly how I want it. I love DGM but a WRB WRX has been on my radar since I was about 8 years old.
b) Coming off the truck, it bottomed out and scraped the bottom of the front bumper. That was a huge turn off. However, when I looked at it today, it was repaired and looked completely flawless.

i ordered my 2013 STI white 5door on 9-27 with around $1,000 in add ons and NAV $36,000 before tax and i had 9,000 down out the door 27,000 and i dont have to pay tax because i am part of the Tulalip Tribes. they told me 6-8 weeks and it is killing me the wait....

Just ordered a SWP 5-door WRX with no options dealer told me 6-8 weeks was the normal wait time how accurate do you think that is? This thread is a bit discouraging but it sounds like the long waits are mostly for STIs.

I got a DGM WRX base with: short throw, boost gauge, all weather mats, mirror and compass, wheel locks, shock sensor, rear cup holder an Sti shift knob. Hopefully you'll get a VIN soon too and it doesn't really take until December.

The only way your wait time will be less than 8 weeks right now is if they can match your order with an car from an allocation that is already coming in. Haven't paid too much attention to this thread lately, but has anyone even received their WRX/STi with Nav yet?

Can't believe how bad the stock radio is on this thing. I know people have said it, but I was never big on audio stuff so I thought I wouldn't mind....I was wrong. I don't want to put a bunch of money in audio, but I think I saw just a new HU will help quite a bit. The volume control is dumb, yes dumb, because you have to go up, or down, about 10 #'s to even tell a difference...it's just a real bad stock radio.

It could happen, but the odds are against you. A lot of the STi orders are taking the full estimated time or longer (like me). I wouldn't count on it, so that way you aren't disappointed.
