Long time lurker and noob subie fan...

So a few weeks ago I finally decided to order a WRX and got a decent deal from a dealer 3 hours away, coordinated a meeting on Saturday to go place an order and wait the 10-12 weeks like everyone else... As I drove up to the lot there she was a WRX 5-Door premium Satin White Pearl, non-nav, short throw, SPT Exhaust, Homelink, hands free, some other small goodies, only 10 miles on it... Just got there that morning from Tennessee on a dealer to dealer trade. 4 hours later I drove it off the lot. I'm so happy, so lucky, and it drives nicely, similar to my Audi TT, but with way more horses and more roomy. And audi's are nice and all but when they crap out they crap out in $$$tyle... Didn't get the price As low as I wanted but didn't have to wait 10-12 weeks for it either, and let's be honest my waiting period was going to happen during three holidays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, that 12 weeks would be pushing it, and I needed to buy a car in this calendar year... 600+ miles later I'm still loving it...

Just got my Von today. Ordered last Monday. Dealer still says mid December but I'm thinking later than that.

Can JustyWRC or Mike @ Evanston run a pipeline on my VON?
My dealer just tells me "no update" and i'd really like to see what he's seeing.

Been trying my own way into subarunet, but they have their oracle 10g application server patched to current rev

As optimistic as I can be I think you're being too impatient. You just barely ordered the car in October. I highly doubt Subaru has caught up with production and actually got to your order at all. Your order is probably on a stack of paper with other thousands of orders at the factory haha. Just keep waiting man. Checking your VON everyday isn't going to make the car come to you faster. Sit back and enjoy the wait. Once you get that ETA you know they're working on your car.

Yeah, you ain't gettin into Subarunet unless you have your own password. The dealer has to enter you into the system that then takes 24hrs to go active. Doubt that will happen unless you are an employee.

I would love to help you, but the only ones that can see your "sold order" is the dealer that placed it and SOA.

yeah last status i saw was "ordered".
I got the VON, Ship to dealer #, Ship to dealer ID, Allocation period (2013-01) model code (DWW) option code (10) spec code (C) Does this mean spec-c? and CBS color.

Anything you can gleam from that? January will suck.

I pre-ordered my 2008 STI and since I work here, watched it daily. DON'T DO IT!!! The more you think about it, the "longer" it'll take. My situation sucked because my color/code/option down to the "T" was on the ground 2 months before I got mine at a couple other dealerships. Why couldn't they fill my order with those? I also watch sold orders for our customers and it is just as long because I am watching it. No one here has anything on a Forester customer we have(except the 2012 to 2013 convert). She ordered hers on 6/27 and it is still on a ship!!!

Since the order was in October, I wouldn't even think about it till after Thanksgiving. If it comes in before that? BOOM! Surprise!

Sit back. Hope you live pass 12/21 and enjoy Christmas and New Years if you do. I would think January is going to be accurate. It IS possible to come earlier, I personally wouldn't think about it like that.

DWW tells me STI 4 door Limited
Option 10 is NAV
Spec code C is California spec(emissions).

If I just got my VIN and ETA of Nov. 2 yesterday, what's the earliest my car could show up? I know alot of people from the 10/8 ETA had quite the extra wait, but I thought some people before then ended up getting theirs a few days to a week before the ETA.

Congrats, I hope I hear something soon too. When/what did you order? And probably most importantly, Nav or no Nav?

You are in SDC or SNE? Those work a little different. I couldn't answer that specifically. I would think it should be close to that date if you have a VIN though.

Talked to my dealer this morning. He said my car is on the Nov allocation list. He didn't know anything about a VON, but since I'm in the northeast I hear it's different. He said I should get an email when it ships. Ernie Boch Jr owns New England

My car was a 10/8 car, which now has an ETA of 10/29. It's been built, and in the states for awhile now. Still waiting.

I'm wondering if since my dealer being in the South, does not do the volume the dealers in the North do, could be slowing the whole process down?

Or even worse, my car came in damaged, and they're fixing it.
