You stole my lights! Lol they look exactly like mine except I kept my high beams with the bi-xenons, looks awesome to see it on a newer style

Tired the emblem mod came out alright but not like I wanted. I also snapped a chunk off them emblem off during removal :-( and I messed up sanding it so I ended up sanding it all and painting the background black. I had some stage gels left from my cluster color change so I threw that behind it for fun. All in all good write up atf78. Easy to follow and gave me something to do!

not anything super crazy but i got bored the other day and built an aluminum cover for my ABS pump.

The "R" sticker is just temporary, it was part of another sticker i had laying in my toolbox.


also not seen from the pic are the secondary bends on the right side to aid in rigidity

Stupid question probably here. Has anyone rewired their fogs so you retain factory on/off switch but also have them come on for drl or when u turn parking lights on. I'd like to do this haven't decided if I want em one as parking or drl. But either way I do want to still be able to turn em on(drl option) or off

I do.

When the headlights are on, I can turn the fogs on/off via the switch.
When the headlights are off, I can turn the fogs on/off via the handbrake lever (one click, doesn't actuate the brake, do correct me if I'm wrong).

Yea but then I have the stupid brake light on lol. Good idea but might wear down brakes at first

TBH I don't know if the brakes will wear at one click or not, better ask someone more experienced.

I have my fogs on all the time.
Before someone tells me I'm a [insert insult here], let's face it, these aren't really functional fogs, they're just for aesthetics. So, there shouldn't be a problem with having them on simply 'cause the car looks cooler that way right?

Unless your handbrake is out of control tight it shouldn't wear out at one click. And even if it is if you drive around for 30 seconds it'll wear down to where it would not be a problem anymore.

Also I think in certain states it is illegal to drive around with your fog lights on? Don't quote me on that, I may be very wrong Also many states prohibit more then 4 forward facing lights, so if your state is one of them you should be careful of that.

Thank you Sir Hobo, that's what I figured.

Now here's another question: are they still considered fogs if they're wired up as DRL's, such that the the regular DRL's are off and the fogs replace their function?

That said, My understanding is that you can't have more than 4 lights ON at the same time, and the fogs will still turn off automatically when the high beams are on.

I was looking for this a while ago, and couldn't find anything.
Basically what I wanted (and I think this is what you mean) is a separate fog light switch. So the fog lights would act completely normal, using the original switch and come on and off with the headlights, but then have a separate switch so if the headlights are off you can turn on that switch and turn on just the fog lights.
It seems that it can't be (simply) done, unless I overlooked something.
I would really like the answer to this as well.

Yea that's what I want I relocated my to behind the grill slapped some Sylvania zxe bulbs in and now they are deff more functional. But want as fog option and drl. Still debating though if I want em as drl or when I turn parking on.

I think drl would be easiest. Just find how it's wired to high beams and the just reroute it to the fogs

Why not? Factory drl is through high beams but to still can use them. Just askin bc I don't know. And I haven't looked to see good It's wired yet

Also fyi for those that don't kno you fwb adjust the fog lights up and down. Didn't fig this out till after I took em out.

I paid to have the headliner done because I didn't want to deal with it sagging in the future. I did everything else my self. I removed the headliner and dropped it off to have the suede wrapped over it. Total cost for everything was $120. They charged $60 to wrap it for me.

that seems pretty reasonable actually. so you mean, you did the pillar trims and stuff while they did the large roof-lining piece? also, where did you go? i feel like a good tailor might be able to take on a job like this? i dislike car custom stores.

impressive, regardless. taking that thing out [without becoming enraged and ripping it] is really hard, and installing it has got to be worse...
