This is a part my friend machined out for me. It replaces the lower ball joint. Reason being is I'm running heim joints on my custom made A-arms that work with my cradle setup, and also the length and mounting position of my A-arm will fix the steering geometry caused by lowering the rack and pinion. But this made my day when he sent me a pic of it machined out. Now if my Dom tubing would come in so i can fab the control arms!!!

Also the heims im using are Heat Treated 4130 Chromoly Heims with Kevlar liners, very tight tolerance and very strong, radial static rating of 18,000 lbs or so. Way more than the factory ball joint would ever hold up to.

I'll take some tomorrow, i remember learning to drive a stick shift in it when i was 8, then my dad traded out some work and got the body painted, been sitting tore apart for 20 yrs now. I've been tempted a few times to put her back together, be a nice summer car to have some fun in, also got a super beetle with a ton of brand new parts and engine, just never got to it either.

not much got done, due to the lack of parts. Most of the stuff is coming in today while im at work. Got a shipment of metal in so i can build the rear cradle and may redo the front one to make it a little nicer since it was mainly mockup. I did get my intercooler in and bov, I did get it mounted out after building some brackets.

Treadstone Performance Intercooler, 3" in/outlet, rated for 860hp, 1000cfm flow rate

Tail BOV

Also got my Stainless blade in for my chop saw, I've used a blade like this but for mild steel and it cuts very fast, doesn't heat up the metal and lasts a long time, I hope this one is the same way with a $165 price tag.
