Oh that's pretty far from me haha. Road trip with your family? You can also test out the infamous rally ability of your car in the Rocky Moutains' canyons haha. We've been getting good ammount of snow up on the mountains.

You're in Pitt too right Siclos? I'm a 1220 designator doing reactor engineering school here for a few months. I saw the Stennis and Abe a couple years ago at Bremerton and Everett.

We're so slammed with homework and projects that I only stay sane knowing my car is supposed to come the very weekend all the busy stuff gets done! Can't get enough of those turbines, that's why I'll only go for a turbo car haha.

I really like that orange. It's not even the darker burnt orange found on some Pontiacs and Nissans, just flat out, unapologetically obnoxious, orange. Pretty awesome sauce.

Not feeling the black door decal, though... first thing that comes to mind is crappy V6 Mustang.

BTW, I can haz LFA airborne jet machine???!!?!1!?

nothing like the sound of the check valves slamming open when the coolant pumps switch to fast speed on a flank bell

Haha I just thought your sales person somehow was looking at Aussie STi's. Cause it wasn't announced yet. Now it's on Subaru's site.

Sorry if this shouldn't be asked here. If not, ignore it and move on.

Got a quote from my local dealer today. Can anyone tell me if it's a good deal or should I shop around some more?

2013 STI 5dr
Ice Silver Metallic
Auto Dim mirror w/ Homelink
STI Front Lip Spoiler

$36,253 before taxes and doc. fees.

Whatever the dealership puts in as it is covered under the service warranty. Wait, they may not do it as soon as 1,000 just 3k...

I brought my car home today.
I ordered 8/19 delivered 10/29. Put 61 exhilarating miles on her today. I will get some pics soon after I debadge and wax before I drive her to Vegas this Sat. And that will be the last you see me in this thread unless it's to spread some positive vibes. Happy Halloween

You Should be able to go lower than that. I got mine with nav, auto dim w/o HL, sts, and cargo tray for 36,950. And even that was kind of high

+1. I don't doubt Rotella's magical qualities in turbo engines. Many here have great success with it, and Uncle Scotty (nasioc) will have your head if he finds out you're using a 5w-30. But I'd rather him have my head than a Subaru Warranty rep if the sad day comes. Rotella is 5w-40 which is only permitted in emergency topoff situations, and also does not carry the Energy Conserving seal. It's all in the manual. I'll probably go with Subaru Genuine oil or more likely Penzoil Platinum/Ultra 5w-30. They're going to want oil and filter receipts to cover a claim. Then again if you're going to tune it, doesn't matter cause they won't cover a claim anyhow. Just my $.02 on the matter.

Don't have to be a nuke to know about that. I was a pit snipe on my first carrier which was non nuclear. All I can say is nukes have it a lot easier than we did.

yeah i can imagine...

i meant more about the reference to the check valves slamming open.

was always the creepiest feeling especially the older flight one LA boats when you were doing angles & dangles and felt & heard the "thump thump thump thump" of all 4 of them slamming open followed by the turbine whine exploding in your ears heh

flank bell!
