I think it looks a bit darker in person than it does in these pics, but yeah LaminX does have the pre-cut kits that are darker than this. Anxious to see how yours turn out if you go darker!

Nice job with the headlights^ I personally like amber corners, but if you're gonna remove the reflector I would go with a diff color bulb, you can still see amber

I personally think that looks PERFECT. Like you said just enough to clean up the chrome without reducing safety or attracting too much attention from the law.

You said gunsmoke (12% )... from what vendor? LaminX? Thanks!

Ive said it a million times and ill say it again. Color can ne changed. Find a wheel design you like with good fitment and make it your own. My works were bronze that color lasted about a week.

Did you ever reveal what the color code or color specs to your old Highlighter wheels were? Say if someone wanted to get close to that color. Trying to decide if that type of color would work on a silver hatch for whiter wheels.

it was never really a secret it was essentilaly flourescent yellow over a white basecoat. if you're jsut going to rattle can then they sell yellow flourescent paint at homdepot and walmart. just hit you wheels with a quick white primer.

Yep. I toasted the 265's and I didn't like how tall they were. PSS's are enormous for their quoted size. I am still even with the rim on 9.5 wide wheels with the 255's. They are bigger than some 275's I have seen on these wheels. I basically didn't loose any treat width...just a a little bit shorter tire.

Having run both...I like the PSS's much better. They don't fall off as fast as the Star Specs do when they get hot. You keep grip for much longer and the Star Specs start to get greasy. You do not get that razor sharp turn in of the Star Specs but it is still really good. The Star Specs have really stiff sidewalls that account for this.

Also, the PSS's last a lot longer as well so cost per mile is less.

Couldn't agree more about the PSS's, I am on my second set after the first set lasted me 4 track days and daily driving. They have very consistent predictablility after heating them up a bit and perform VERY well lapping the whole day. From the 2nd track day to the 4th track day it took roughly the same time to heat up to what I think is good and I was putting down very similar times (only time I could compare performance with different wear levels since it was the same circuit & similar conditions).

Mine are on the OEM 11-13 WRX wheels though, so only a meager 235 haha

Thanks man. Yea I was going to do a lot more stuff to the car but I got a second job a month ago and schools still loading me with work so I've backed off of modding for a little. Was going to get my lip and exhaust and wheels powdered but i spent most of the money going to vegas last weekend for SEMA I kinda like the amber bulb in there though so we'll see
