**Warning: The below vehicle does not have meaty tires**

I need meaty consultation. I recently put flares on my wagon, and i'm struggling to settle on a reasonable configuration that will fill the gap a little. Currently i'm thinking 255/40/17 on 17x8.25+35. Appearance wise i know it will be pretty meaty- but will it be enough to fill out the fenders? BTW i will be hacking the fenders out, so the only clearance i have to worry about is at the strut. I'm aware of the fact that i can potentially fit something just ridiculously massive under there, but this is a pretty high-mileage DD with no track duty so just want to keep it reasonable.

Thank you meaty nation.

17x8 fits nicely on my wagon with no flares, go 17x9!

I think at least a 17x9 or 17x9.5. Or I don't think you will completely fill the fender flares.

ok noob status question here.

I have a 2011 OBS. I am looking at getting a set of 18 inch XXR 527's or XXR 530"s.

Does anyone have a good idea what width rim, offset and tire size i would be able to run on my STOCK OBS without modification or any rubbing problems?

I am looking to go as wide of a rim that will fit and as "meaty" of a tire as possible that will fit.
