To everybody saying that this car isn't worth it, yes it absolutely is. You're not even beginning to get even close to the arguably amount invested. A built motor will last under ideal conditions and under 300 wheel, that will last a while. Piston slap isn't really an issue when you're on stock cams and running such conservative mods. Super clean and nice car and uou should get that EASY

I sold an 02 with 168k miles and a slipping clutch for 11 grand. He was a dumby for paying so much but you will absolutely get that. People are just trying to lowball you and negate your car because you showed uncertainty about your price. That car is clean, looks well taken care of. All the parts that took the most beating as it got older were all repainted professionally, decent wheels, good internals, relatively low miles. If you tries hard enough without the motor being built you could get 12,500-13.
ATTENTION LOWBALLERS: GTFO! Honestly, it's his car and he can sell it for 1342,000,000 if he wants. It's not up to you to judge value. Goodluck with the sale man. She looks beautiful. I have an aspen white 04 relatively stock with line green RPF1's if you're interested in trades lol

Kbb says 10 and you'll be lucky to get that. Doesn't matter if u have 40k invested. It doesn't add value. I 100% get where tour coming from but it doesn't work like that in the real world. Kbb on my car is 15k I have 20k invested and know when I sell it ill sell it for 15-16 not 35

Agree with you. But i am not asking for everything that I put in the car. Just to cover engine parts alone. I honestly font think I am asking too much

Look around on the forum. People don't sell their car's for book value. Why are you people continuing to post if its just price bashing?

I had a similar experience trying to sell a corvette I had. It was a '99 with low miles, and a few mods. I originally asked for KBB good pricing, but wound up taking KBB fair pricing. I don't think it has anything to do with mods. It's the fact that most people don't have $13k to drop on a car, and you can't get a loan for a car this old.

As popular as tuned cars seem, it's still a very niche market. A vast majority of people just want to go to a dealership, drop down a couple grand, and leave with a car that has a warranty.

After owning quite a few cars that I have maintained and hooked up, I can tell you that any money you put into a car is gone. You won't get it back. Also, older cars, no matter how good, are incredibly hard to sell because most people simply don't have more than a couple g's to drop.

I wish you the best of luck with your sale. Be patient, and hopefully the right buyer will come along, and realize what a deal this car is for your price.

Guess you can't read...

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=347246
"Price - post the price of the car, don't just ask for offers. If you don't post a price, don't be startled when the offers aren't as high as you'd like. If a price looks high to you, DON'T POST A COMPLAINT. Sometimes a buyer is asking a high price because they feel the car is worth that. That's OKAY. Just leave it alone, or PM them with a reasonable offer. DO NOT post "wtf that price is WAY HIGH u suk!"

Respect - If you look at a seller's thread and you don't like the product being offered, or the price being asked, or the color of the font... keep it to yourself. Similarly, sellers should respect the people who post in their threads. Break this rule at your own risk.

If someone's asking $10,000 for a car you're sure is only worth $5,000... then I highly doubt anyone will buy that car. Leave them alone and let them dream of getting top dollar in peace. By arguing about the price you simply clutter the forum further, bumping threads for things you say are overpriced.

This same rule applies for potential buyers or casual onlookers. If you're not asking the seller a polite question, you probably should not be posting in the Classified thread. This is not the place to get into debates and discussions on cars, mods, prices, colors, or anything else."

Car looks clean, I wouldn't let this go for less than 11k if I was you. But for the record, Ive had a few built motors and have dozens of freinds who have and have built motors, they DO NOT ever last very long. Talk to your engine builder about clearances and stock clearance precision from the factory. 30k on this setup isnt necessarly alot but its also not nearly as reliable as a 75k stock motor. Search the for sale threads right now, theres reputable built motors blowing up at 300whp at 9,xxx, 10,xxx and less sometimes. All depends on the exact motor and how it was assembeled. I also have a buddy who blew up a stock 08 sti motor at 10,000's bone stock so can be to reliable ever.
