How to figure out.......

So i've searched google and called a few people but no answers. here's is the info.. Got a new short block put in and they started the car it ran then died, they say no spark. I tried to connect my tactrix cable to the car but it wont connect to either ecu flash or rr logger. I'm in a head stump. either its the cable or ecu and i dont have any other way to test it.... any ideas?

Short? Blown Fuse? Loose connection on the ECU or main harnass? Check and recheck all your connections. I would defer to an expert on the matter, but those are quick simple things you can do without tearing apart a perfectly good (and new) engine.

Well its all being done by a shop since i do not have tools or a place to do it where i live now. just trying to figure out if my ecu has the problem

Is check engine light lighting up. I recently ran into incorrect bolt installed on intake manifold that is ground for ECU on 05-06ish WRX. Car ran fine when it was traded in, but then died on salesman. Wouldnt start after that, until I found problem.

Just to be clear, the ECU and other electronics grounds on the intake manifold. They may have installed wrong bolt or not hooked it up correctly.

Alright thank you. hopefully they fuigure it out while im out working next week. im getting a spare ecu and cable sent to me to make sure 100%
