I am looking to go as wide of a rim that will fit and as "meaty" of a tire as possible that will fit.
unles you roll the fenders getting anykond of rim and meaty tire will honeslty be useless.

there really isn't a way around not rolling unless you want to either run alot of camber, or have areally high offset.

to be safe go with a 8.5' wide wheel. around a +45 offset with a 245/40. but if i were you i wold roll fenders and then go to lower offset in the +40-38 range with a 255 on a 9' rim.

It turns completely fine. I have tracked it more than a few times with no complaints. Thanks though!

I'm sure if you paid for them we'd gladly run the high performance, soft, fast wearing tires you want us to have

Not everyone wants a $250+ tire that wears out in 12-14k miles.
No matter how great they stick/make your car handle. It's up to the persons willingness to spend/budget.

And most here arent running that expensive of wheel >$1500. Have the rest to spend on tires.

Whats this all about 245 not being meaty. It's all chassis dependent. I say let the little guys with narrow body cars and no flares play. As long as its a tight fit inside and out why not stand by them while they say "look how far past OEM I got with this setup"

Hell the largest recommended size for my GC sti is 205. I think cramming a 235/245 under there is worthy of the meaty title. Whose with me.

Yeah... except its called the Meaty tire thread as in theyre looking for the fattest tires. You could create the "Functionally large" tire thread... but thatll be way less fun since 95% people here could post there.

I agree that's the thread title. Although when I came in I didn't expect to see some of these monstrosities. Most of these cars will have turning radiuses worse than full size 4x4 pickup trucks. I get it though as much like slammed cars its all about a certain look over performance.

Exactly! But them who do have it, well that's sweet. To me its just rubber that will be needed to be replaced anyways. so why spend so much? Either way meaty looks sexy!

While its true you have to pay to play, the whole point of going meaty is for better handling, otherwise you'd be posting in the stanced thread...

Is your car stock? Probably not. So why waste the money that you've spent on mods by cheapening out on the one piece that touches the road?

Most should realize that for the cost of ****ty 275 Hankook V12 or Falken 452s, you could get 225 RS3s, R1Rs, R888s or Starspecs that will grip better, be lighter, fit easier, and actually provide some grip and feedback. The downside? Not being able to tell everyone that you have super wide tires, bro.
