I would disagree. With 90%city and 10% why, we consistently average 28-29MPG per tank hand calculated. The key is that you can't take only short trips to work, grocery store, school...etc. The engine takes a while to warm up and hit optimal operating temperatures.

Wasn't goregasm the dude testing the limits of hitting the redline in "L"?

That might account for the numbers you see on your dash display.

Doesn't your mom like it in her stoma?

I can't believe how retarded people like you can be. If the car wasn't meant to take WOT every once in a while, then the rev limit would be far less than ~6,000

Your maturity is very evident every time you post.

I'm sure your mother is proud of you, but if she is that would indicate she is a poor judge of both intelligence and maturity.

Cue false outrage.

Nice to see you are making friends on NASIOC before you dump your Impreza for something else.

going WOT and bouncing off the rev limiter are 2 different things. WOT is ok. Bouncing off the rev limited is cool if you are a Ricer in the parking lot showing out for all your friends but its stupid because you are taking the engine to the point where the engineers said woah gonna have to stop what ever dumb ass that thinks taking it past 6k is a good idea.

Going WOT is fine and shifting your CVT to L is fine because you want to wring every ounce of power out of your car.

Simultaneously whimpering about your poor MPG's when you drive like that indicates a disconnect from reality on par with Karl Rove.
