Default Beware of "Good Deals" for some North East cars?

Very soon you will start to see some "good deals" on some Cars from New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. Be careful it's not a flood damaged car.

They are coming.

Not even a turbo 993?

Just gotta inspect what you are buying and know the clues that point to trouble. Nothing a PPI could not figure out.

I don't get this^^^. I've seen lots of good used turbo cars. You can get a beat up NA or turbo car, or a good well maintained one.

A lot of people don't want to take the risk to begin with. Which is fair.

Rob1n1, any used car is a risk. I do understand that adding a turbo is another thing (things) that can potentially go wrong. Personally, I just don't think it's a big jump between NA and turbo if you are careful.

sooooo true!!!!!!

my salvage dealers(texas) even told me that they bought a crap load of cars from the north east.

now these vehicles have "Non-Rebuildable Titles"
which means, you only can sell parts off these cars/trucks
this is the legal/reputable way of doing business
however
many of these flood vehicles are bought by shaddy rebuilders.
most of these are getting shipped overseas where some nigerian could care less about the title from the US....they just know they are driving an american SUV

Then you have the people who don't have the proper insurance, so they dry, clean and replace the bare minimum to turn the car around.

im sure they are out there, no doubt. like someone else stated, i am not willing to take the chance. seems a lot of used wrx are beat to $hit and then returned to stock and then traded in to be someone elses problem.. no thanks!
