Default Noise after new clutch

Hey guys, I recently replaced the clutch on my sti with an exedy. Its been about 1000 miles and I thought by now the clutch chatter would be to a minimum. Has anyone else had quite a bit of clutch chatter with exedy? Could it be my flywheel? Im still on my stock flywheel because the shop couldnt get a flywheel in and I was didnt have time to wait another 3 days. The chatter is at its worst when I push in the clutch pedal.

The chatter is worse when you press the clutch, so when its released? Or just as you press it?

There's is 2 things to consider, the pilot bearing and the throw out bearing..

It also depends on how bad it is, i had a clutch in ky car that sounded like i installed a rock crusher, turned out to be a bad pilot bearing...

As I press it, so when the clutch is released. A rock crusher is a pretty accurate description of the sound. When the clutch is engaged and Im "moving" theres no chatter, just when I release the clutch inbetween gears is when the "rock crushing" sound happens..

This was my <50mi old SPEC 2+ and happened only under hard decelleration.. Even under mild decelleration it wouldn't do it...

Flywheel after the ****er came out with under 100mi...

One dry spot over the Exedy...

So you mean you put a new pilot bearing in that turned out to be defective? Mine is doing this - new exedy clutch kit installed this past weekend. That, and it seems like I'm getting resistance in the driveline. I can only back up a foot or so before the driveline freezes like dumping an AT into park. I made sure to torque every bolt to spec, all parts were marked to align before disassembly, and the flywheel was resurfaced.

Yeah, it was new... and now my new Exedy throw out bearing I put in when I replaced that POS SPEC is making noise.. squeeking with engine speed.. weeek week week week week week week.. I can at least put my fingers on the clutch fork and stop that one, but it's still coming back out at some point...

AFA the resistance you are getting, can't be the clutch as it's spinning at the very least 900rpm if not more when the problem happens..

Something else is amiss I hate to say, but not sure what.. Binding up somewhere, somehow?

I just did one hd act SS with this flywheel. And it did chatter for 500 miles then it mellowed out. Give it time to break in.
