I live in New York City and street parking is a must for me.
Just ordered my brand new 2013 Impreza and would like to minimize the damages done to my new baby from idiot drivers in NYC. I have seen a Toyota Yaris have bumper bars front and back and it didn't look too bad, so I'm sure it'll be alright on the 2013 Impreza HB. Or should I add a trailer hitch and then add something like this ?

I have the same question and issue from having to street park in Chicago. I didn't see any responses but would love to find a bar to protect the bumpers. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

They have "rally bars" but they don't closely resemble the pushers CHP uses. I'm also on the hunt for such a item. Lol the videogames NEED FOR SPEED show the police WRX's with them. That's the only time I've seen um'

Might as well take off your bumpers lol. Went to NYC 2 years ago and street parking was traumatizing

I do not know of a source for bumper protecting bars.
For the cost of them though, you could probably get front and rear non-CAPA certified bumpers and put them on as place holders for your OEM ones. Subaru bumpers are very easy to swap. Just an idea. Wont look pretty, but it would protect your OEM bumpers. Good luck. |
