Default Aftermarket uppipe removal questions

Hello, I have a 2005 wrx with an invidia uppipe. I was thinking about removing it for heat wrapping. Can it be removed without removing the turbo? Does the turbo just sit on a bracket? Will i still need to jack up the motor?

thanks

I took mine off without removing the headers or jacking up the motor...or completely removing the downpipe for that matter...But they're different years with different motors.

I will be dropping the header and downpipe as well for wrapping. Do u still think it will be necessary to jack the motor up?

No, should not have to jack up the motor.

Installed mine with the car up on stands and from underneath. No, the motor does not need to be jacked up.

No need to remove the turbo, but the exhaust manifold out of the way does help as does unbolting the downpipe to give you some wiggle room.

Ok before I get into it. When I take off the downpipe and unbolt the uppipe, how is the turbo still held in place?

It's still attached to the inlet
