A screamer with a turbo? I know it's Honda, but I'm not expecting it to be a screamer.

It's nearly impossible to find that now. Most people who bought them used them as DDs, so they're all likely to have high mileage by now. It never really seemed to be a weekend car, since it was so practical to DD.

The K-sieres itself was fantastic, it was just introduced at a time when Honda was expanding into the US market in spades, and consequently the enthuast niche of Honda started exiting stage right.

We had an awesome car in the Type S, and the Si was a nice upgrade. They've just stood still for 8 years.
It wasn't only that, but a lot of those cars were released too late to make an impact. The Civic Si hatchback was pathetic with that 160 hp motor (and I think it was even slower than the previous Si coupe, even though it was far torquier), and I think Honda didn't put in the 200 hp motor because they were afraid of it competing with the RSX-S... which is understandable, but it was a poor decision. That time period (first half of the 2000s) would've been the perfect time for that car to have been around, since it at least would have been fairly competitive, especially at that price range.

Well, we'll have to wait and see to determine if that's a good thing in a "performance" application.

I think a pair of balls and common sense is what they need first.
