('11+) Any bumper bar for 2012/2013 Impreza Hatchback protection?

I live in New York City and street parking is a must for me. Just ordered my brand new 2013 Impreza and would like to minimize the damages done to my new baby from idiot drivers in NYC. Are there such bumper guards / bars for the 2012 / 2013 Impreza Hatchbacks?

I'm looking for something like this...

I have seen a Toyota Yaris have bumper bars front and back and it didn't look too bad, so I'm sure it'll be alright on the 2013 Impreza HB.

Or should I add a trailer hitch and then add something like this ?

as for the rear thats not the correct hitch for 2013 impreza but i am certain you can find the thread for that. dunno how you would protect rear bumper, right now I just use a rear bumper bully.

Which one you got? The Gold or the Platinum edition?

Debating if I should buy the Gold for $44 + $8 shipping or the Platinum for $54 + $8 shipping.....

i bought mine in 08 it matches the platinum edition they do work just not when some idiot slams into the rear of your car or scratches it up pulling out he he. one of the reasons i hate going into nyc

I live in NYC, getting hit when parked is unavoidable in NYC. My Impreza 5 door is dark grey, I have the Bumper Bully back guard Black Ed and the front plate BumpShox. both match the color of the car very well. The front BumpShox works well. Haven't see any scratch yet. As for the back, the guard protects most area, except the corners. (Already got a scratch). So you need to get a pair corner bumpers as well. FYI, the paint on the Impreza is super thin, over the Hurricane Sandy, one of the roof shingle felt on the driver side door of my car. and it left some minor but visible scratches.

I have a DGM too and the thin paint/clear coat is driving me nuts, scratches just appear out of nowhere.

Isn't it illegal to cover your license plate in NYC? Pretty sure a cop can give you a ticket for your bumpshox covering the front plate
