Hey guys!
Pretty new on here still, and pretty new to the Subaru scene. Just finished a pretty big face lift on my 05 PSM this weekend. I bought it a little over a year ago and said i wasn't going to do a damn thing to it. We all know how that goes. I fitted an 06 front end (thanks IH8PVMNT!!!) which was surprisingly one of the easiest and most straight forward things I have ever done to a car. And although I have always loved the WRB I dedcided to go a little darker with it. And it was much easier on the wallet. Here is a couple of progression shots. The first matte black STi I saw was a peanut eye and I fell in love with it but I think the hawkeye looks damn good in this color as well. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() What do you guys think? I know everyone is very partial to their body style and it is kinda sacrilegious to change it, I am the same way with my Repsol (07 is by FAR the best looking year )The vinyl wrap process is NOT for the impatient. It took me about 20+ hours and by that point my impatience overtook my perfectionist. There are some wrinkles but from 5' it looks pretty clean.

agreed as well, but the a-holes that are in charge of my development havent done the final pave so i cant even get into my driveway as is. theres about a 3 inch drop off from my driveway onto the main road. and maryland in general has shi1tty roads. my audi was insanely low and that just made for some stressful trips. i cracked an RS4 bumper on a pothole and bottemed out the front suspenison on this, breaking the headlight on the front fender. I like it... except for the mesh grills... and I would have preferred matte white over black. How much did the front clip cost all together?

The grill came on it. It's not like cheap auto zone/home depot mesh, it's pretty substantial. I like it. All my VWs and Audis I have left the grill emblems on. Picked up the entire clip w/ rad support for about $1000. Did all the work myself (did NOT rivet the rad support on like I read on here somewhere). Over all I'm happy with it. Gonna strip off the vinyl and dip the whole thing come warm weather.

Looks SICK!! I love hawkeyes, I'm with you on them being the best generation. I really like the matte black. And I'm glad you didn't half-ass the front end conversion and rivet it on. Well done!

matte white was the runner up choice but i was worried about how dirty it would get and how hard it would be to clean.....

lets see you zx6r then and we'll talk. if thats not your cup of tea there's an anniversary edition R6 and a 07 Repsol parked next to the fighter in the garage. any of those would put an 09 ninja to shame. both are chicken strip free. Kawasaki hasn't made a decent looking bike since 06. soooo......

not a dick swinging contest, just saying dude has a post asking 'how to remove a taillight' and he is giving me **** about a bike that i built from a cbr600, 954, and ducati...... if you dont like it dont say anything, not getting all butt hurt but if your riding around on a stock bike that you yourself bolted a $300 slip-on up to then f off. come talk to me when you work on your own **** to a point that it requires more than just a socket set.
and yes, bronze wheels are in the works. |

post some pics of your stuff. ill hate on it. i see stuff i dont like quite often and never feel the urge to tell them 'your whatever if busted'. im a tattooer by profession and see the worst stuff in the world on a daily basis but does it make me feel better about myself my telling someone their tattoo looks like trash? no, so i keep my mouth shut. forums are supposed to be a place to share a common interest. i dont mind criticism but 'looks like poo'? unnecessary. maybe im being a bitch but already i am reminded how most fourms are 'i like mine better than yours' oriented. cookie cutter stuff doesnt impress me. if you dont like something you should still appreciate the fact that someone took the time to cut off half the subframe, and cut and welded a duc swinger to the cbr mounting points and custom fitted the suspension. id appreciate a civic if someone took the time to fit a ferrari motor in it.
looking at the 'bagged subaru' thread made me hesitant to even post any pics. everyone is all 'i dont have bags, i dont like that, it looks like crap', people are so damn close minded, and these people are probably the same people that are driving/riding something identical to the a hole that lives two blocks away. grow some balls and mod something to the point you wont see it anywhere. ever. not my wrx, im sure there are 1000 that look exactly like it but dont bash something you couldnt build. ok, so the newbie is a little butt hurt. deal with it. |

Like the hawkeye conversion. It turned out good. As someone else asked... did you spot weld the rad supt? BTW, I think the bike is secksy! I'd rock it anyday of the week. It's so different from what guys around my area typically do to bikes. I.E. Flame paint on a lowered, stretched gixxer. Get's old...
