Question Bolt-on turbo replacement. Can I do it at home?

Turbo on my 2006 STi went south today for as yet unknown reasons. If I get a bolt-on replacement, can I do the installation myself? Any hints, special tools, or things I need to check to make sure the new one doesn't decide to eat itself too? Any recommendations as to a good (i.e. "afordable"), not crazy replacement? I'm not looking to make 500hp. Stock or just slightly better is fine. I have done a lot of work on my own cars for over 35 years, but have never installed a turbo. I'm also looking for a new (to me) front bumber cover and rear wheel arch covers if anyone has some laying around (or knows a good source).
