I did this myself a few weeks back; got it from the same vendor (great service), the only difference is I used red thread. Very happy with the look & feel of the cover.

I didn't fold it over myself, but the Wheelskins comes with the edge of the leather folded and glued for durability. You pull hard on the thread while stitching, so the fold allows you to pull very hard without worrying about tearing or stretching the leather.

There's also a string glued in the seam that helps support the pressure.

Looks great! I like the red accent with shifter & the odo/speedometer.

looks good just wish that it blended better with the spokes for a more factory look. but nice upgrade none the less

Agreed. But not having the grooves molded into the plastic steering wheel digging into my palms is just priceless. And I like a thick steering wheel. I'm guessing the plastic wheel with the Wheelskins wrap is thicker than the Subaru leather wheel.

So I acknowledge that the Wheelskins doesn't provide a factory look. But it does provide a nice wheel to hold during a road trip.
