I have 2001 RS.
Finally test fitted my autopower race roll bar. I did specify that car has sun roof (I think, it was long time ago) What are some of my options for delete if I can't make it work? I'm asking in this section because I'd like to take this car out on a road corse next year. thanks for all the help -slava

So does it fit or does it not fit? You don't really say.
If you're looking to delete the sun roof, you can weld in a blanking plate. If you want to keep the roof, you could cut down the hoop and re-weld the mounting plates. |

Or you could do what I did and rivet a piece of aluminum down to the roof

It didn't fit, but I didn't try making it fit yet either. I do want to delete all that, thought of a manual pop up option of some sort.
Want to stay away from welding at this point. |

Rokkit, I like your rs. I want to flare mine but don't know what would be a good wheel size set-up. Don't want to go too heavy. Car will see auto-x and some track. Some weekend driving.

I also run a +45 enkei with a 15mm spacer... so it's a bit of offset. (just for some tire reference) |

I just took the door from the moon roof assemble and bolted in down to the opening. There are studs on the door and body that you can use with a small bracket to hold the door in place.

Thanks
![]() Patrick: you make brackets to hold the skin down? I have no idea what type of racing it will be for. This car was swapped and built years ago, back when I was younger and a big dreamer. Now I just want to get it back on the road and enjoy it. Probably will auto-x and hope to go to gingerman raceway a few times. |

I was thinking of 17x9.5 or 18x9.5 with low offset. Maybe +15 up to +30. With 255 or 265 tire for now.

Thinking of 240 flares or trying these:
http://www.aptuning.com/index.php?pa...mart&Itemid=14 Rokkit, how much cutting you do and did you weld in the rear? |

as far as I know most racing series won't let you have a functional moon/sun roof installed. It needs to be blocked off and disabled. So making a spec cage that fit with the moon roof would be odd.
