I have had 3 sets of Grabbers now (one set is currently pushing 40k and has plenty of life left) and have had zero issues. I liked them so much I went out and bought a set of 5 for my Westfalia. Wasn't the alignment, had it done when they were installed and again at a different shop when I replaced them with something else and both times everthing was within factory specs. They were also rotated frequently every time I was working on the car at my buddy's shop. There were no signs of uneven wear, over/under inflation, or edges feathering, just how short they lasted.

Funny you mention a Vanagon, as I'm currently searching for a good set of metric tires for the one I just inherited.

I Just finished the lift on Saturday and got it aligned yesterday. Only issue so far is the tires keep catching on the inner most screw for the front rally armor mudflaps but I think I have a pretty simple solution for that. Other than that It is smooth on the highway no vibrations wobbles binding or otherwise. I got a really strange look from a guy in a new challenger rt 6 speed that i paced for a couple miles with lift and tires installed lol.

Just some logging roads in Pennsylvania. I just wish there's more mud though. The straps there because it get's used quite often.

I havent found a way to do that on my 08 with out spending a bunch of money. wrx calipers and rotors dont just bolt on with the 5x114

While I'm not 100% sure on the'08 STi's stock tire diameter, but guessing its pretty close to the '11 specs (I believe it's 235/35-18 @ 24.4" in diameter) so the smallest Geolander in that size (225/60-17) is 27.6" in diameter. Highly likely to rub on pretty much any setup he could go with. Would take some hellacious fender work, almost guarenteed. Here's the tire calculator I used:

the lift is 04 fxt struts and springs, 1" strut spacers and the legacy outback body lift. I did a **** ton of fender trimming too as you can see in the first pic. General grabbers 215/65/16. by spring It'll have 235/75/15 and a dual range. =]

These are all "pre lift", the car is now lifted on OEM bugeye springs.
