Default Jdm Ej205

So i came accros a jdm ej205 to replace my broken engine in my 02 wrx and i am trying to find some info on the engine.
From the pics i was sent the engine looks the same as my stock engine and there is a barcode with ej205d and some other letters and numbers that are hard to make out.
Complete engine turbo intercooler ecu for $1250.
I was told the engine is from a 1999 and up exact year is unknown.

I checked out wiki and it had some info. Jdm market had the ej205 in some wagons from 1999-2001 and then all wrx had the ej205 from 2001-current. What i cannot find is whether they all came with avcs.

ej207 is your overseas 2L with AVCS if i'm not mistaken. Not an older subie engine guru so take it with a grain of salt. Might want to check when AVCS was first implemented, if it was post 2001 then there you go.

both of these posts above me are incorrect. the ej205 *DID* come with AVCS. and the ej207 was only the overseas *STi* engine. the jdm WRX used an ej205, but i don't know when AVCS started with those.

So no one knows if it will have avcs or not?
What will i have to consider when swapping this engine into my car? Will all the sensors from the jdm engine work with my usdm harness or will i have to change the harness?
What would be the best way to run the engine, use the jdm ecu or use the stock ecu and get it re tuned also i have a cobb accesport will i be able to use it with the jdm ecu?

The first year JDM GD WRX did have AVCS, 9.1 CR, and a catless uppipe. Should be similar to a EJ207 swap. Direct bolt in with the AVCS wiring harness that IA Performance sells.

OK, back from the dead, I know...I have a popped motor in my 04 WRX (USDM EJ205), and after a lot of research on here an other forums, I have decided against hybrid build, and just want to get a stock motor back in it until I save up for a V8 EJ207. However, in lieu of getting a reman shortblock and putting on my heads, I found an EJ205D. To swap this into my 04 WRX, I would need:
1. my USDM wiring harness
2. the AVCS wiring harness adition
3. the JDM ecu...which is not included in the auction...

Any idea if this would work as I understand, or can you not swap the EJ205D into an 04 USDM WRX that easily?
