The DIY ethic refers to the ethic of self-sufficiency through completing tasks oneself as opposed to having others who are more experienced or able complete them for one's behalf. It promotes the idea that an ordinary person can learn to do more than he or she thought was possible. Naturally, a DIY attitude requires that the adherent attain the knowledge required to complete a given task. Without this, DIY is not an effective dogma. The term can refer to "doing" anything at all, including home improvements and repairs, first aid, and creative endeavors.

Central to the ethic is the empowerment of individuals and communities, encouraging the employment of alternative approaches when faced with bureaucratic or societal obstacles to achieving their objectives.

Just use a DIY for putting plexiglass or whatever there, but use mesh instead.

For anyone doing the koji mod on their Bugeye headlights, don't bother buying the PVC piping and retrofitting into the headlight where the turn signal goes. Simply cut the orange cover that clips in over the bulb right where it begins to dome over and paint it the same black as the rest of the headlight. Then just use an amber bulb, works great and clips in like factory because it is

Hey Guys, Long time member on Nasioc. Just never really took the time to explore her. I mainly used "our" S.FlaSoobies? Thread to be able to talk to the locals and keep up with our weekly meets. I was wondering if there was a DIY on the fog lights yet for the 2011 WRX Hatch/Sedan yet? I want my fog lights to be able to turn on with my daytime running lights. Also, I still want to be able to turn them off, if I so choose to. If I have to leave the fog lights on at all times, I guess I wouldn't mind it but, I'd really like to have that option.

Thanks in advance guys! -Steve

Does anyone know of a good DIY lightbar thread. I'm looking to make one but am unsure if my mounting plan is going to work very well.

I'm specifically looking for a rallyinnovations style light bar that offers some bumper protection and mounts underneath the car.

Thank you in advance!

Just mount it to the bottom of the front subframe where you would bolt on a fmic, and then also support it on the top of the bumper brace.
