These cars are such tanks... today I had some unexpected rally stage involving a 3ft deep ditch and a steep drop off from the pavement..

Thank you subaru for the 8 gauge oil pan!

All good man. Love the car! Would have been more obvious I was a fellow subie owner if I was driving the wrx that night haha

Wow! That is beast mode for sure. Glad there was no car or driver damage!

Lol yeah that would've made it easy enough. How did the rest of the transmission work go?

Clutch installed, tranny back in place, everything hooked up and running and shifting great. Lifting it back up to the engine was the only difficult part cause I used just a regular jack. Only help I had was my mechanically inept roommate pumping the jack while I did the "transmission bench pressing" from underneath. Shout out to TIC for a great deal on a clutch kit and the advice (as always) and Smyth Automotive on 42 for resurfacing my ACT fw. Glad its done, now I just have to drive like a wuss while the clutch gets "broken in" for 500 or so miles

Wish you would've asked for a tranny jack along with the fluid. I have one in the garage.

Lol yes, I felt the need. I'm not really sure how to interact with people in the other forums yet. I still need some time to learn them. I am trying though.

Show up to TiC's open house at their new place on Saturday and you'll meet the primary people. There's some newer younger guys, but you'll recognize a lot of the folks I'd think.

I haven't quite decided, but probably very late if at all.

We have lessons scheduled at the farm, and people coming to look at horses, so I'll probably be there to help out.

Well if you don't make it out, get a hold of me when you are done.
Not sure which way you head home, but maybe we can grab dinner.
I will have my daughter and GF with me though.
