I have the same bar and its a POS. it rusts easily from the inside and water gathers inside the top bar. They definitely are making over $280 in profit (according to a speed shop near me). Not to mention it SUCKS more when lights are installed, it bounces all over.

The only thing the bar is good for is protecting the bumper from scraping on driveways.

I feel like i could fabricate something similar with some metal tubing and black spray paint. Personally i just wanna see what the rally bar looks like on a lowered or slammed subie.

Yeah I have a tiny fracture in the bottom of my front bumper and I was hoping to get a skid plate or something (push bar) to hopefully protect it from continuing to crack before the winter comes.

The 2nd pic yes, 1st one is a WRX grill. It's pretty easy to hack up and make fit! Cost me $1.50 for the mesh (gutter-guard) and $4 for a can of Plasti-Dip.

I got it for $150 used off a guy here. I highly recommend NOT buying this bar lol. It mounts like **** and isn't the best quality. I'd look into Primitive Racing products if I were you.

The primitive stuff looks way to bulky in my opinion...Plus its an additional $100 not including shipping I will admit though, they look much sturdier! Aren't their two versions out of the RallyInnovations bar though? The second being the better of two since it uses the license plate holes as extra support?

It has these rubber stops that push against the bumper to hold it... I welded mine to the frame/bumper beam till I sold it.

Im getting ready to put a little more money in my 2.5i hatch. Im having a hard time deciding what i should buy now and which stuff i should buy later and was hoping to get some feedback from you guys that already installed these parts. So i have around 1000 to blow and was thinking about either doing suspension work or rallisport headers with tsudo catback. I live in pa and snow will be coming pretty soon =) i have been looking into suspension i wanted to see if anyone can post up some nice suspension kits for less than 1000. I was hoping to find a cheap set just for street not autox or anything I dont know if i should go with struts with lowering springs or just get coilovers what's your guys opinions?

Personally I would say get suspension as it totally transforms the character of the car. As much as I love my exhaust it only does so much for our cars. I can totally understand your predicament though, the Uel setup with the tsudo sounds amazing! However, if you planning on doing both at some point then I would say exhaust first, that way you have more time to play/setup with the suspension when it's dry out during the summer.

I like coilovers because they can go 3+ inches lower than stock but if you want just a 1.5" drop springs/struts and then sway bars with all the accessories (bushings, endlinks, HD brackets, etc...)

I have the bar that uses the license plate holes as supplemental support. It drastically reduces light bounce but let's be honest...do you think it'll support and make the bar more sturdy? Definitely not lol

New HID kit came in today. They work great, and the ballast are super small. Thanks for the recommendation Jordan. They didn't come with mounting brackets like the last kit, so I had to zip tie the things in, check this out for over kill.

Passenger side under the air duct inlet.

And driver side.

So i got the Bayson R Sti lip installed its fits pretty good for something that not designed for my bumper. The only problem i had was the pre-drilled holes sticking out from under the bumper Luckily you cant tell from a couple feet away. Im also on winter wheels/tires.

This is what i was talking about with the fitment.

Looks good. Any side view shots? No possible way to trim the sides and then have it sit more flush?

Well at least it doesnt bounce as much
I love the way it looks, its just too bad that their seems to be too many problems with it i.e. rust problems, crappy welding, paint, etc.

You couldnt use black zip ties? On my kit I used velcro on some odd places but it holds just fine (yes their are at least two zip ties over the top for extra security lol.)

Yea I wanna plow my driveway and the road as I go. Also my summer height is .68 inches higher. Ill solve that issue with lower profile tires.

Haha I was hoping for a better suggestion than just turning the ties black.

The wires aren't long enough to reach a clean flat surface for using a 3m double sided sticky pad or velcro.

Make a mounting bracket out of some cheap sheet metal like material. I mounted the passenger side ballast on the frame of the body in the engine bay and the driver side where the headlight bolt is.( in your driver side picture; the rusted bolt holding the headlight, next to the clip for the washer fluid)

I'll take pictures when I get home hopefully Lol
