Default 2005 subaru rorester xt 2.5t auto - into a manual non-turbo

I have a 2005 Forester 2.5t motor - mated to automatic transmission.
my is wrecked - beyond repair.

got a call today with a guy with a 2005 forester manual transmission NA 2.5 motor

Would it be alot of fabricating and modifying to put the 2.5t into the manual transmission'd subaru forester?

i tried a search but didnt get straight answers....
