T&S Bodyworks in the Tempe area. Family owned and great work. Did a couple accident repairs on some family vehicles and they come back looking perfect.

If there's no bodywork that needs to be done a cheap 399$ maaco job would work but they spend little time prepping and generally end up with lots of overspray. I've had 3 cars painted there over the last 12 years and 2 of the 3 times I made them paint it again after it cured for a month as sometimes on a color change it takes a lot more paint. Im that ******* that makes them redo it if I'm not happy. They've always put up with my crap. Point is a decent paint job can come out of maaco it just takes some convincing and scrutinizing. I am probably going to maaco after I prep my legacy and do all the masking myself. All they really do is lay the paint on for 399$. Then again you can spend a lot more money on a quality job.

I would never recommend Maaco. At 18 I went in there thinking of getting my old car painted. I made the best decision of not doing it because I didn't feel the trust there and I got a newer car within a few months after. Almost wasted over a grand because of all of the work that needed to be done. They will tell you stuff you want to hear. Do your research. You probably won't find anything good about them. I have heard of people having settled dust that had dried into their paint when they arrive to pick it up. You get what you pay for and I don't recommend them. Also $399 is without a proper clear coat and the prep job I have seen (my brother's old car for experience) is terrible. Plus my brother's paint job was like $600. Also you don't want to get the paint that has clear coat mixed within the paint. You need to get a seperate clear coat if you want it to last. If you want it done right it will cost you a few grand.

I have heard Drews Brothers Customs does really good work from a friend of mine. They are at the I-10/202 junction right across the way from Firebird.

I can't speak for other maacos, they do poor body work but Ive always done my own bodywork so all they did was have a monkey lay down the paint. I would just judge the work coming out of a shops paint booth. Depends on your budget also. Any bodywork done quickly then painted over will shrink down in a year and will be obvious. The best paint jobs take months to prep and in time waiting for bodywork to completely cure before final sanding and painting.

Eleven's Paint and Fiber
Best price around for a high quality paint job. More cars featured in magazines that probably any paint shop ever out of AZ and they have only been around for roughly three years. (right across from suspicious garage, and next to Future Fab) Dylan - 928-853-7592 for more examples of work done and further info check this post out http://gotoelevens.blogspot.com ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Elevens does excellent work! I would also recommend Sakura Garage. I've seen them paint everything from stock to custom and they are die hard car enthusiasts. They are close knit with suspicious garage, future fab, etc... so it's the same group of dudes offering quality work. I would meet up with each (elevens and sakura) and feel out who you like.

I've been quoted $2000 for stripping and urethane. Still looking for someone good and reasonable. |

There's an Earl Scheib shop on Cave Creek Road who'll paint your car for $600, but you won't get Aspen White and it's a single coat with no clear coat and cheaper paint. They're the ones who quoted me $2000 for urethane and clear coat. I've also seen a Rolls Royce Corniche in their shop being painted.
