I have a 2009 STi, stock except for cobb sf intake + airbox and cobb ap stage 1 93 octane tune. I'm getting a Cobb 3" SS downpipe and Cobb 3" Catback exhaust soon. I will be getting a custom tune after installation as well. I have been told that this would technically (this could be wrong) be a stage 2 tune.
My question is, am I going to have to buy/install anything else if I install the turbo back exhaust and tune it? I know that as you go further along into modifications, some installations require other new parts to work properly, but I don't know if it would be necessary for my situation. Thanks.

Stage 2= Downpipe (at minimum) + tune.
With the 08+ models it seems Injector Duty Cycle is getting close to maxed at stage 2. This would mean you COULD get injectors and fuel pump for peace of mind. But if you are getting pro tuned, then what has your tuner told you? |

I don't know about the STi's, if they're the same injector size as the WRX, you'll be right at the limit.

What percentage are you saying is maxed out? A lot of people think that 110 percent idc is okay on these injectors. An 08 wrx only has a td04, you should be able to stay well within the limits of the injectors for that turbo.
Now if you had an 09 with the Vf52 then upgraded injectors would make sense and definitely be on the list of might as wells |

Sorry I didn't read the top fully. I would recommend injectors, a fuel pump upgrade and an ebcs to get the most out of that turbo and tune

But to answer your question...no nothing else would be required, those parts would just let you get the most out of your tune. It really all depends on whether you expect to be modifying the car again later b/c with the fuel/boost control upgrades you will have a lot more headway and you would get a better bang for your buck as far as paying for a tune goes. With the right boost control and fueling upgrades, you will be able to make a lot more power than a normal stage 2 tune could afford you.
