Looks great! I can't wait to see the final outcome... Any special parts for it? JDM or otherwise?

I Have a Custom Fabbed Aluminum JDM V4 STI Scoop graphed into the stock hood and soon to be JDM 440cc injectors. Eventually there will be many other goodies added, but this was a terrible base to start a project with. It has already drained my bank account numerous times and it hasn't even made it on the road yet !!!

Thanks, Matte was the original plan, but since it actually costs more I decided against it. The colour still looks pretty flat in overcast and the pearl doesn't pop until the sun hits it ( I guess ? Since it's never actually seen the sun LOL !!!).

I love foggy pictures! Unfortunately, I can RARELY get the chance to take them. I live in a pretty fog-less area.

Great fog pictures and I also like CFK's garage and build thread.

I installed the TC wheels yesterday and took a quick picture during lunch break, also played with Paint.
I'm looking for some OEM WRX struts and springs and it will probably end up somewhere in the middle.

just so you know if you go with oem struts and springs you will end up with a stance closer to this

its just kinda the way it swaps over, if you want it even you will want to get lowering springs in the front but then you will be golden! it looks really good though!

Hmm, really? That kind of sucks. Is the strut really longer or is that caused by the top mounting/bearing? Guess I have to do more research before sending money to somebody. I actually would like the front a tad lower than the rear, meaning equal clearance of the tires to the fender arch.
Thanks for the info.

yeah there are 03 impreza struts and springs on there, i also had 2001 RS coupe struts with eibach lowering springs that we cut the fronts down a coil and it still had this stance... its crazy how everything mounts up perfectly, seems to fit just right and then the fronts just never seem to settle, my guess is the distance between the front strut mount in the fender and the mounts on the hub is different in the front due to how far up the strut mounts in the engine bay. it seems they were raised a little on more on the imprezas allowing for more travel but less overall ride height. it also seems to be the same for the rears on the legacy's a little, my guess is by just an inch or 2 on each side but it makes all the difference in looks

I guess instead of used WRX parts I might just get a set of new KYB Legacy L/GT struts. I had KYB now on two Subarus and while I like them, they have a little too much rebound from the factory. Meaning I can play around with cutting the stock coils until an optical/performance compromise is achieved. Just hoped I can do it spending less, since this is a small budget build.

just go for KYB agx's, as far as struts go they are AMAZING and adjustable damper like coilovers... the 01 rs struts i spoke of were agx's and they were AWESOME, just wrong for the fitment of the car... so yeah agx's with after market springs (eibach are awesome) or find some coilovers in your local forum or on Craigslist or something and go that route. either way, the car is gonna look super sharp, im diggin it and im not usually a fan of blue at all, but i kinda really like that. im always a softy for modified outbacks though... i miss mine sometimes

Got my CD full of professional shots from the event I did at VIR last month.

Chasing an IT-prepped Viper through the Uphill Esses. The track doesn't look it in the picture, but it was pretty wet (hence our lights being on). The Viper was the only car that caught me that session.

The first session the next morning was even more wet, so I put the street tires on.

My baby was the victim of a hit and run
She was cryin', she said Dre, man I look so ugly
Is there a way you'll ever love me?... Nope
She seen it in my eyes
A brand new vision of a brand new ride

need help hunting someone down? that is so enraging, i was just rear ended 2 weeks ago trying to help someone on the freeway (thank god not in my car but in my mom's 02 hyundai), my friend's RS was just totaled by a drunk driver who flipped her vw bug and hit a bunch of cars and then she fled... it is getting really dumb... people with no respect for other's property, vehicles, lives... i hope you are ok, and then i hope you sue that f*** for all they are worth. people need to start understanding that other people's things sometimes mean something to them. and if they lose everything maybe they will start understanding value...

I'm alright, I was in bed sleeping and the car was parked. I'm just sad my car is going to the crusher mostly, it deserves better for it's many years of loyal service
