Goldstein Subaru in Albany is a solid dealer, so if you cannot find it in Hartford consider Albany (no, I don't work there).
That being said the Crosstrek is a little taller and heavier with the same engine. To me that spells even more underpowered, perfect if you need to drive offroad but overkill for typical commuting. The Impreza Sport isn't a power king, but it is a nice car. But who are we kidding, your wife will want to buy one or the other based upon the color and how it feels to her, so let her decide. |

The WRX for you will just be a newer version of what you had, I like the crosstrek actually, and so does my wife. I worry that many car dealers are going to see this as an opportunity to gouge people. If I were you, I'd go as Far East or south to buy the cars. Buying in the sandy zone might be tough. Any thoughts on an Outback? My wife loves the outback for sure

I modded my car cause I only care about myself, so don't even go there. OP, glad you and your wife are safe. Love the look of the Crosstrek, let us know how it drives. Last edited by 575rider; 11-03-2012 at 05:32 PM. |

Test drive every car that isn't under water. Also, try and make a simple decision for yourself once in a while. It can be a freeing experience.

Whoa, tough crowd here
![]() I have a feeling the roads are going to be beat up for a while so if "sport" isn't the primary driver for her I'd go for better clearance. I have an XV on order and having driven a few of them I can say that I think it's nicer to drive than the sport wagon. The ride is really similar, just a touch more firm, it has dramatically less body roll and the higher seating position is nice actually. If the extra weight slows the car down I challenge you to actually feel it, with the more crisp suspension and stiffer chassis (yes they did beef it a bit) the car is pretty snappy. Not fast for sure but it has a nice attitude. |

If you come back up to the Boston area, I can lend you a couple 6 gallon and a 2.5 gal gas can. Not much, but better than nothing. PM me if you're up here again.

Dealer is still trying to track down a 2013 wrb wrx hatch for me, so hopefully that will show up soon. Now it's on to all the house stuff, lots to do around there and around the whole area.
Ill post up some shots in the daylight Happy Driving |

Picked up both of the new ones at this point. I picked up my 2013 WRB WRX yesterday, I'll try and put up some photos. Loving both of them. Not much planned for the wife's XV, but a few fun things for mine on the way.

Just for the record... The impreza is way... way to low to the ground. If i hit a pot hole i'm taking a risk on bottoming out... Also the Foglights suck and Be VERY careful with the Cruise button.. Other than that i love it

If you are talking about foglights on the XV or Impreza 2.0 they can be aimed, mine were aimed at the ground. Much better once they were adjusted.

I don't think I've ever seen so many people on NASIOC agree on a single topic before ![]() To OP: As someone who moved out of NJ less than two months before Sandy hit I have seen the destruction of my neighborhood, I'm happy that your house and most of your belongings made it through the storm. I truly do feel for you. On a happier note though congratulations on the two new cars! They look great Don't mind the stupid comments. He was from "Pennsyl-Tucky" after all ![]() |
