While I would have loved to see an RS version with a Metzger for real men, lol ok ok...
Sounds great, especially the torque - wonder if weight will come down even more with this - and makes me think the 991 turbo might be a significant performance leap forward. |

Since this thing will most likely outperform the base Carrera not just in feel but in lab times, I would assume that Porsche will price it accordingly. My guess would be ~$75K without any options? Maybe even that's low balling it.

Actually I was oh no-ing a possible manual vs. auto forum skirmish.
A Cayman T not coming in a stick shouldn't matter, the base and S models should always have one available for those so inclined. Can't help myself... As the purists will point out from non-experience, the slower but responsive non-turbo versions are the ones you'll want anyhow as they give a more pleasurable driving experience, just like their 10 year old beater economy cars. Meanwhile, Mike Sorrentino or some equivalent rich white male will chime in saying that the impoverished purists just don't get it, (DSG is faster? You don't say?) fun is for poor people and keep out of their way on the track since they'll be driving a GTR anyhow. |
