Whats the difference between the engine?? sorry if this is a dumb question but i keep getting told different info

IIRC, the wagons have stiffer springs in the rear, which slightly improves handling over the sedan variant in stock form.

As others have said, no difference between engines as long as the year is the same. Personally, I prefer the wagon/hatch as it is more practical.

Stiffer springs because of a heavier rear end. Equals out in my non-engineering computing.

In 2011 when the STI sedan was released Subaru claimed is had a higher top speed compared to the wagon due to better drag. I know that's not really relevant but I guess it's a small win for sedan owners lol.

I believe the hatch has slightly better weight balance and thus handling though.

Yeah might be true in that regard but the heavier rear does give it a slightly better weight distribution, can any auto-x wagon drivers chime in? =p
