Just finished the diffuser for wife's MY06.

Took nearly a year.

Started too late last fall and then it started puking in Tahoe. The main pieces were under four feet of snow for like 4 months and then I did what I could, when I could.

All told, it probably only took about 20 total hours and came out great!

I changed up the OP mod by doubling the thickness of the fins; added a flat 90 degree panel to the leading edges (we get a LOT of snow in Tahoe and wanted to keep any chance of it ripping the thing off in the winter); used DupliColor truck bed liner to coat it and used black silicone RTV to help hold it on and to clean up the minor gaps between it and the car.

I enjoyed the build but my timing could have been better!

Okay, Here are a couple pics.

As I said, I pretty much followed SAUSAGE's (OP) diy so no need to re-cap my process, but this shows the final result. The silver head screws are being replaced by black ones today; I have to run to Reno to get black/stainless screws.

The only obvious difference is the double thickness of the fins. The "snowblocker" edge is tucked up nicely under the car and looks like it could come in handy this week: we've got a winter storm watch in effect for snow this week! Bring it on and let's go skiing!

(note the bad scars from where my wife backed into a snowbank last winter; hope she can keep from doing it again)

Can we get any pics of these awesome diffusers while the car is on a hoist? I'm liking the look of the thicker fins of tahoebru's piece.
