Nobody has tried to run me off the road yet in my BRZ. No one tried in the WRX and possibly not in the Forester. With the STI someone tried only once. With the 2.5 RS coupe, several times.

I shined my lights on a Plasma Blue STI sedan the other night while it was parked at a house on Spruce and 65th Ave. Car was full of dudes, but I didn't see the driver.

Last night on 88th after leaving Carrs heading towards Lake Otis I passed 0x444A! Car still be so hot!

I think I passed in front of a silver bugeye this morning as they were heading north from Tudor onto Boniface.

So a 335xi is perceived as a lawyer car? Its not even an M3 which would be more perceived as a 'lawyer" car if anything. And I don't just have an X5 I have an X5"M" (which from the looks of it you have no clue what it is) which is a big difference over the normal standard X5 not mention its like 20-40k more in price. That's like saying the a 328i is just like an M3 there are big differences not mention a huge difference in price.

As for the porsche comment if it was the cayenne turbo S SUV then yes it would well perceived as a "lawyer" type car. But I agree the base line cayenne wouldn't be but the turbo S yes as its like 3x the price.

Relatively close to the Outer Banks of NC. That'd be cool except when hurricanes drop into that area not that you'd be too threatened. Great hunting, camping and fishing.

I know what an M is, thanks. Sedan versus SUV is all I was mentioning. I'm talking more about size. You can't honestly sit there and claim that you don't think it's more likely that a lawyer would drive a sedan or coupe over a hybrid or SUV, traditionally speaking? Maybe, possibly post-Recession lawyers, but I'm still stuck on pre-Recession, if you need to know where I'm coming from.

Haha I know, I know. It was specifically directed at evocharger. You and I tend to be on the same page (I blame age range and Jersey), but evo is analytically deficient (or lacks imagination, I'm still debating), so I was attempting to spell it out for him. It wasn't a "right or wrong" discussion like he usually makes them out to be, but more a discussion of perception.

I think your car is hawt and more lawyers should be driving them. A know many prefer the Lexus 350 sedans and such. I love Lexus' styling. You're correct, though, people in general are sue-happy! I know this, but I was just making a joke that's been beaten to death at this point.

You still didn't answer the original question not that it matters now. Anyway, I wasn't arguing about what lawyer's drive but more of what most would perceive as to what they would drive. I know of lawyers that ride their bike even in this weather to ones that just drive a prius. Mentalities obviously changed over time but traditionally speaking most people perceive lawyers to drive higher end cars not that it really matters what they drive coupe, sedan, SUV, and etc.

So you did a quick google search, posted a few pics of mentioned cars that I had to point out still doesn't prove you knew what it was prior to me pointing it out. However, I'm glad you took the time to learn more about the cars since you didn't know before because if you did you wouldn't have made the comment in the first place. I'm glad I got you thinking and now you know what each is if you see it on the road.

You would think someone whom is a committed car enthusiast would be able to distinguish the difference. I don't own a suby but I can tell the difference between an impreza and an STI as there not even in the same league.

Never said they were in the same league performance-wise, but thanks for playing. Glad to know where your reading comprehension meets its threshold.

And, yes, I know lawyers that ride bikes year-round and drive fuel-efficient vehicles. Glad we can be on the same page.

Of note within that ad/news is Mazda bringing over a 2.2 liter Turbo Diesel in the 2014 Mazda 6. The title claims a twin turbo, although the text refers to a two stage turbo. Perhaps its a twin systems not unlike the FD RX7, with a smaller turbo for spool up and a larger one for top end?

Nice to see more manufacturer's looking at bringing the clean diesel over.
