It's in Subaru's database, so they certainly have access to the info if they want it.

At the dealership right now getting the reprogramming done. On a side note, VOTE!

To take care of two things in one place, I booked an appointment for my first oil change and requested the Engine Control Module update. They booked me for November 16 and said, "At this time the software update is not available, however by the 16th it may be. Your Service Advisor can let you know at the time of your appointment." Has anyone else experienced this delay? It seems odd that the dealership is not ready for this update. I would rather not get my oil changed at the dealership if they are not even going to do the update at the same time.

#31 at the polling place (usually in the first 5/10 voters). Got there about 5 minutes later than normal. Voter traffic today was a lot heavier than in 2008.

I was #17 to vote in my district.

Oh, and my software reprogramming was successful in a thoroughly uneventful way.

2012 2.0 pzev 5 speed/5door in PA and received a letter via snail mail. Going to dealership Monday for this along with squeaky seat and oil consumption evaluation.

^ that went back ^ out came a 2012 WRX Premium. i'm just going to ignore this altogether.

I don't believe TX is one of the included states.

I just got this done couple weeks ago and I don't really feel any difference at all. The guy at the dealership said it would help warm up the car much faster, but I didn't notice any substantial change

What he told you is stupid. The firmware update only affects the behavior of the coolant overtemp light on the dash. It doesn't affect how quickly the car warms, and you shouldn't feel any difference in the car's behavior.

Hmm, went to the dealer today for some unrelated stuff and they went ahead and installed the WQC-39 ECU update as well on my '12 WRX, same model as Chester's (and color, heh ), so looks like it's for WRX's as well.

Mine also has a build date of 4/12. I didn't get the notice through either email or snail mail, but saw the recall notice when I logged onto mysubaru account.

I have a friend with an Outback wagon who got one, so this issue may not just be related to the Impreza 2.0i, but may be a PZEV issue...
