Well I've been driving the car fixed couple boost leaks. throttle body gasket. Just ditched the down pipe gasket junk.
Hopefully I can drive it and get the o2 sensor ready and the evap isn't ready I'm over due for inspection. I did delete the evap solenoid when I had the hydra. I Put 400 miles on the car this post weekend. The motor is great no smoking on start up or at all catch can hardly has anything in it. Tony did a great job. I already have my spare block ready for him to do if possible. Besides that if anyone has any input on getting it ready for inspection that would be helpful. the o2 sensors are original but where removed for the two years the hydra was in the car. They seem to be moving normally while driving. I'm hoping it was just because my coupler leak, throttle body gasket, and down pipe gasket that caused those systems not to ready at least the o2 sensor the heater is ready.

Well car's been re tuned since on 24psi it pulls good and run's good pretty smooth considering everything that's been done. I've got about 2500 miles on it. about 4 4 hour round trip's total. with no issues with anything.
just got one small problem still won't pass emissions no cel on o2 monitor not ready or evap system. Evap is probably from not having my evap solenoid in. o2 is ether the ultimate racing down pipe? or my rear o2 sensor is responding slow witch is what I'm seeing when logging the voltage. and I've had the po139 code about 4 times before my re tune. but again I found a small fuel leak after the tune on the return line from the fpr and a small vac leak on the adjuster for the afpr. so I fixed those now the car rev's above 6500 rpm's it wouldn't while getting my re tune. but it goes rich under boost and lean above 6500rpm's so I'm guessing I need a re tune again. hopeing jr can fit me in. But I'm stumped as if the evap and o2 are even the issues for my emissions troubles or if it's just the tune off again after i fixed my last two issues. oh an she smokes sometime on initial start's not all the time. we think it may be there valve stem seals as they are stock granted the low mileage on my car. Could even be the ring's honestly maybe they didn't seal fully from all that fuel she was dumping at first. Doesn't matter right now will fix that another time. Basically I'm just working on getting it passed threw emissions so we can put the aem in and go for kill motors gotta come back out anyways. |

so I took my wastegate off and found a tear in the diaphragm. ordering a new one hopefully that'll solve any recent issue's.
update: took it off again and put pressure on the diaphragm not leaking. I put some silicone on the little slit just to see what I get. I recently noticed a slight flutter with the wastegate an that the body of it would spin. so when i had it off noticed the nut under the diaphragm loosened the set screw tightened the big nut and now the body of the gate is actually locked in place. seem's like it just loosened up with use. 3k miles daily driving it stays cool in traffic granted I avoid it when possible. Just trying to figure out is we can get these ID2000 ready on pump 93 for inspection witch they should as the AFR don't matter here in NY. Will see I suppose I fixed a lot of problems car had. Just down to bigger pump and better lines and fittings.
Then going back to put it on the dyno with pump then E85 still also debating on stock ecu or aem v2. And thanks she's a work in progress and under construction gonna plasti dip the car this winter. |

Don't be jellin man. I'm sure your car will be fun also. I'm debating on pump E85 or the canned goods! I don't like the octane instability in the pump E85 can't test that using a ethanol content tube. Time will tell the tale my friend.

Very nice!! Im going to be running something similiar, definitely in for moar! Ive had the whole 93 VS e85 running around in my mind and i really want to play with e85. Is E85 at the pump inconsistent, like you might get a bad tank?

Quote:
1. Tuning capabilities. 2. An AEM Infinity with a Ethanol Analyzer.(or similar EMS like a Vipec) If you have non of the above and want safety on a daily just buy E85 from VP or one of the other fuel manufactures. Granted some have luck really depends on how lean your tune is. You may be able to test the content of alcohol but you can't test the octane the tool's required just aren't cheap at all.
