Default Ecuflash read and upload issue

- connected green test connectors under dash
- turned on ignition
- tried to read and save the stock tune and it gets stuck after only a second or two.

Interestingly enough both RomRaider and Learning View both function perfectly. I am using a MacBook Pro with parallels on Windows XP with the latest versions of RR/LV/EcuFlash available. This is my personal 2005 STi. I thought it may be an issue with the ecu being locked but I know for a fact it is not as I married a v2 accessPORT this week and unmarried it verifying that it is a stock ecu.

I am simply trying to upload a xpt stage 2 to buuild a base map off of. If you have any ideas I'd love some help. Btw I'm using a 1.3U taxtrix cable.

You need the 03-05 reflash connector as soberpoet pointed out.

Even on STi's? I thought those were only necessary on 16bit ecu's?

Correct, those connectors are only for WRX models. What happens when it gets stuck? Post the log from ECUFlash if you have it.

For some reason your ECU doesn't like the handshake from ECUFlash.

Are you running ECUFlash from the parrallels XP virtual machine? This may be causing the issue. Try running ECUFlash natively on OSX http://www.tactrix.com/downloads/ecuflash_138_osx.dmg

Is it an actual Tactrix cable or an Evoscan cable?Just to re-confirm, only 16bit ECU's need the reflash connectors (02-05WRX). Any USDM STI and 06+ WRX's do not require a reflash connector.

what ecu flash are you using, I think you have to use 1.29a for a 1.3u cable, I had one and couldn't get it to work with mine so i ended up getting a 2.0
