I imagine it's a chemical compound they can wipe on the tire that reacts either with the heat or with the white smoke.

Les Schwab tried out colored tires back in the late 90s...blue and red. Tried em out in southern california. They lasted all of 2 weeks.

Wouldn't you know it...Bloods and Crips were doing spinouts in the streets to mark their territory.

True story.

Due to some unforeseen living expenses I have to sell what I consider to be my child. This car is amazing and to anyone who buys it, I gauruntee you will be in love with it. Runs like a dream and sounds like a video game. The blow off valve gives a most wonderful crisp pressure release sound. More pictures can be given upon request (pictures are before modification, have some current ones) Here is a list of what's been done to it :
-Greddy blow off valve
- BC BR Racing Struts
- Greddy Front mount intercooler
-Heat shielding
- Green neons on the front grill
-Stage 3 Racing Clutch
-Stage 3 Racing Flywheel
- two 12" Rockford Fosgate T2's and full Rockford system,
-1500 watt amps, and a Pioneer touch screen Stereo head
-New transmission
-Oil pressure, Boost, and water temp gauges,
- Rota G rims
-Proformance rims
-HKC up and downpipes
-Cobb tuned
-Completely sealed and soundproofed
-Blue Hids
-Momo steering wheel and shifter
-Sti carbon fiber sidings
-jdm side-skirts
-Sti wing
In addition to all the mods that have been done to it, the car has been flawlessly maintained and has 99,7xx miles on it. Hasen't been raced or taken off road, just a pleasure vehicle that's sure to catch a few glances without being too over the top.
Extra Equipment includes: 2 sets of tires/rims, Catbacks and catalytic converter, foglight assembly.

Flawlessly maintained! LOL
let's see:
Atmospheric bov hurting spark plugs and increasing carbon buildup in the cylinders just so the owner can have his eargasm.
Two subs shaking loose all interior clips and weakening window moldings
Stage three clutch hurting the already glass transmission
Racing flywheel doing no favors to bearings
HID retrofit that probably ruined the light housings while hurting actual usable light output.
Suspension components that probably increase chassis stress and flex.
Neon lights... nuff said.
All the parts are cheap parts.

FACT: Mounting an air filter directly on the throttle body and adding Type R stickers equals a gain of 42.7 horse power.

To me new paint job means it likely had some body damage. Just because the title is clean doesn't mean it wasn't wrecked... if you feel bad about it, there is likely a reason... find another car.

Ad is 5 lines long. Price seems too good to be true. Seller's best overall description of the vehicle: "drives good". Red flags right there.

You said you went to go look at it. What did you notice that put you off? Did you test drive it?

Even if the guy is completely naive about the value it's still a bit of a red flag to see an STi with that few of miles for that low of a price.
