Like I said, you could still mount it solid with a rigid nylon or aluminum bush and at least have the option to have something less harsh without compromising either design or having a totally unique design for both applications. Best of both worlds IMO.

COST. The more items we need to make, the more things cost. At what point to you justify the expense to make more parts vs. the market that will buy it? I am not talking production costs, I am talking development costs to bring a product to market.
