Why not put some vibration isolators at the chassis mounting locations instead of at the transmission connection? This would allow a nearly identical construction with just a little additional gap compared to what you have shown for the isolators. Think rear diff outrigger bushes. You could have different durometer bushes or mount it solid with a nylon spacer. Modular!

Because race car... not to be funny or anything but this is for a race car not a car concerned with NVH.

Like I said, you could still mount it solid with a rigid nylon or aluminum bush and at least have the option to have something less harsh without compromising either design or having a totally unique design for both applications. Best of both worlds IMO.

COST. The more items we need to make, the more things cost. At what point to you justify the expense to make more parts vs. the market that will buy it? I am not talking production costs, I am talking development costs to bring a product to market.

Word. That's what I am saying. I love the hardcore light weight race part, but I am guessing the majority of the market is people who still drive their weekend racer on the street and want the option for something less harsh. That's why there are so many Cusco like mounts available. I feel like you could justify the additional development costs to cater to a larger audience. You would also have the only mount available that allows you to go from hardcore race unit to reasonably compliant street setup.

I should say, I don't want to tell you how to run your business, just a suggestion.

Some very valid points are brought up here. Ultimately I think MSI is just more of a hardcore racer parts mfg. They build some nice stuff but yeah it's not priced or typically allways designed for the street market. Theres comprimise when you play this game.
