Just got a set of these installed on the G17 and so far I am really impressed, a great upgrade over the standard night sights from Glock

I love sights that are a different color for the front and back. Good choice.

Not really. Which surprised me. I was at the Portland gun/knive show on Saturday and prices were good, but the place was packed. I talked to a number of people that were making their first firearm purchase. Hand guns were leaving that place like they were giving them away. Background checks were up to two hours when I left.

Dave, you bought another 30?

I'm going to pick up another 5-10 Pmags and whatever I can for the FN.

For me it's partially in case of a ban, but it's mainly because I've got some extra cash available. I personally prefer to load my mags in front of the TV, not at the range. So when I go shooting I'll usually have 8 or so already loaded. Plus, they occasionally get lost or misplaced so it's nice to have a supply of them.

FN SCAR-17 mags are just hard to find in general, so I'm buying them when I can. I've only got 3, I'd prefer to have 10+.

I find that I hoard magazines. I've got 8 magazines for my Century CETME/G3 close that I don't even shoot and am looking to sell. Yet at the gunshow this weekend, I found myself looking for more. I came to my senses and didn't buy any though.

I'm not too worried about the ban just yet. I'm more worried about the media hyping the ban causing more people to get nervous and start driving up the price. Think back to Obama's first term and what happened to ammo sales, that's what concerns me.

Is it just me or did ammo go up a bit when he was reelected? Seems like Pmags went up also from what I have seen online. but I need to stop by the store and check it out.

Curt's is a nice shop, got one of the $650 AR15's in there and am liking it. Sold my Spikes Tactical to buy a hand gun and one of the cheaper AR's and cant complain about the quality. Best AR for the price IMO.

Pmags at Curts are the same price. There is the new Gen 3 Pmag that just came out too. Its a bit more. Most places I've seen the G2 pmags are dropping in price.

Yay for dumb people that scare easy. My wife decided that an AR is a good gift for her for Christmas. Um no store has any! They said we are a week too late on deciding to buy one. I knew the shootings plus Obama would equal gun sales but damn no store has even a stripped lower. Might call a manufacturer personally to see if they will let me buy it direct then ship it.

You need a ffl to order one. Some shops and people will do it for a fee of usually 40. But manufactures take a while. There are also online sights that will ship to a ffl holder

Curts had a few this afternoon.

he raised his prices from 650 to 900 due to the fact he is over nighting all his parts and still cant keep them on the shelves. his margin is still the same too. everybody has raised there prices all the way to the manufactures.....

last surge they can get before a potential ban, could hurt a lot of local economy
