Hey guys, I'm seriously considering picking this car up soon. I was wondering if I could get a quick sum up by you guys of what I can and cannot do to it to make it perform better without voiding any warranties? I was looking at better rear sway bars, a front strut stiffener, and maybe long term swapping out some exhaust and intake parts, though if I do that specifically it would be a very much long term upgrade from right now. Any other upgrades that make the car noticeably better without messing up any warranty issues? Thanks!

WRONG aftermarket parts ONLY void the warranty IF the issue that is being claimed if the warranty issue was affected by the after market parts. So if you install exhaust, and your power windows quick working, warranty will cover your window. If you install cat back exhaust and a head gasket blows, or a bearing gets spun, warranty will cover it. If you install cat back exhaust, and 02 sensors show that it went lean long term and the ECU coldn't compensate the manufacturer MAY have an arguement that lets them void the warranty.
Of course manufacturer will try to void the warranty for anything, but that doesn't give them the right to. They have to prove that the aftermarket part caused the issue in order for them to void that specific issue. Even if the exhaust does cause a lean condition and destroy the engine, warranty still covers all of the power windows, gauge cluster, and all the other stuff that is unreleated to the exhaust. Same thing with bike racks, it will void the warranty IF the issue being claimed has to do with the rack. So say the driver side door starts leaking. they might be able to make the arguement that you put too much weight on the top of the car because of your roof rack. But if your engine blows they can't blame that on a roof rack and void the warranty. |

I'll try and take pictures along the way but no promises. I tend to get excited and forget. The videos and guides online for all other imprezas are the same for the 12+

Kartboy endlinks? I plan on adding an sti rear sway bar to the wife's '12 Impreza when I do bigger sways on my sti. Just wondering if I should invest in a couple sets of endlinks. They are truly pathetic looking.

I got perrin polyurethane ones. If its the base model it does not come with a sway bar so I had to buy endlinks, bushings, and the bracket to hold the bushings. My friend is giving me his sti sway bar since he is upgrading his. I'm so excited to be working on the car!

Yellow "cuts" through the fog better so you can see further and with more clarity.
