Default Leakdown test results help!

Cyl 1 <5 % leakdown 150 psi
Cyl 2 <5% leak down 150 psi
Cyl 3 <10% leakdown 148 psi
Cyl 4 <5% leakdown 150 psi
2002 wrx 110,000 miles
Just curious what the results mean. Subaru said engine is in excellent condition.

The compression readings are all within 1% which is perfect. The leakdown readings are pretty good, the percentage readings are how much air is leaking by the rings and valves. Are you asking what the readings are checking or if they are good?

They look good to me. Not sure what the service guy saw in those numbers that made him think #3 was dead

Yeah that's what I thought the guy buying my car wanted the tests done at his expense so I said whatever and let him pay for it lol. Now he's buying it tommorow.

General spec for leakdown is <20% is ok. So that engine looks good.
