So does anyone know of a place in tow. That can make a cheap skid plate for my car?? I can't justify spending 300+ dollars for a rallitek or primitive racing one

ive been eying the 24-70L as my next possible lens... but i thought the MK I was a 28-70mmand mkII was 24-70... and ya a MKII 70-200mm is on the list too but i may get the new sigma 70-200m F2.8 with stabilization seems to be doing quite well its no L lens but the pictures ive seen its damn good for being a bit more then half the cost of a MKII 70-200... and if things getting going doing photoging i can then go all L glass |

Yeah the 24-70 took the place of the 28-70 but Canon just revamped both the 24-70 and the 70-200 2.8 IS. Both are supposed be much sharper especially at the long end of the zoom but both cost much more as well.
Depending on what type of photography you do the MK1 versions are still pretty good. Does the 7D have Micro Focus adjustments? That will help dial in each lens. Something I really wish I had on my bodies. |

The one thing you will notice over your 17-55 is the weight. It's nickname isn't "The Brick" for nothing. lol

I have heard good things about the new Sigma primes 35/50/85mm as long as you get a good copy.
I don't use my Speedlight much because I shoot mostly landscapes and I don't know jack about how to use it. lol I do have one of these but rarely use it (different brand): http://dx.com/p/flash-speedlight-dif...2-white-169520 And I did build one of these but never used it so I gave it away: http://strobist.blogspot.com/2011/04...-tutorial.html |

Figuring out a wheel choice is driving me crazy. Gramlight 57DR are now a consideration and Weddsport TC105N

Is that the 50mm you speak of? I love the Bokeh on my 135 f/2.
Have you considered the ef-s 10-22mm? I had it way back when I had my 20D. Compared to the 17-40mm I have now for my 5D the 10-22 was a damn fine lens. Much better edge to edge sharpness. |

ya the sig is the 50mm ans ya i have concidered the canon 10-22 played around with both the tokina is damn close to the same IQ the thing that is leveraging me towards the tokina is the F2.8 the extra bit of light really helps keep the iso a bit lower...

Very true and with ultrawide zooms you don't have to worry quite as much about limiting your DOF when shooting wide open.
I can shoot wide open with my Sigma 15mm f/2.8 fisheye (awesome full frame lens, no vignetting) and damn near everything is in focus unless I am really close up on something. |

Nice. How thick? What material?
I actually really like the RA urethane flaps. I'm just a little baffled why the heck they cut the shape the way they did. On the inside they removed too much of the flap in the cutout. Hard to explain but it's just weird. |
