00 legacy wagon drivetrain problems

i own a 00 legacy gt wagon, and i have some needed questions answered..
my year came with a viscous limited slip rear axles, is there a way to tell if its working properly or not?
secondly when i turn hard it makes a popping/clicking noise, not the "thud" that usually happened. let me know if you need any more info, i looked under the car and nothing looked to leak from that area,
when i turn the back left wheel, it turns effortlessly but the rear right one didnt.
when i turned the rear right one, it did make the rear left spin, but the rear left feels to have some friction drag. it was more difficult.

if any more pics or info is needed let me know. i appreciate any help guys.
