Also, we have to think of a better name for this event than 'BIG MEET'. It just sounds too much like WBM.

I have counted around 12 people voicing interest from kcsubaru
About 10 from Chitown Subaru FB page
And a handful from here.
Plus STLSubaru members of course.
(I think some Indy guys were interested too, but I don't have access to their boards)
Estimated total is around 50. It would be a decent size meet. I'll gauge the spacing and further activity planning around that number for the moment.
I'm trying to set up a registration page too so that we can get some solid names and number and do away with all the guessing. Also, this gives me something to work with as for as the t-shirt vendors go.

2 things:

Has anyone looked into Gateway? I have a friend who instructs a lot of BMW/Porsche driving schools over there.

My wife's cousin is a Subie guy in the Lexington/Cincy area. Should I spread word further?

Yep. We have looked into gateway motorsports park and the other planners and I have concluded that if we can pull this off this first year we will gather more sponsorship to hopefully gather the appropriate funds to have the event in the future at gateway. This year we will not be located there.

Second you can spread the word where ever you feel appropriate. Shortly we will have a registration page set up so that we can gauge true interest from and communicate with those potential attendees directly.

Ok soooooo stl Mazda/masdaspeed group is trying to make a huge meet like us. I'm gonna set the date for this by the end of day tomorrow (maybe) and try and get a place by the end of the week. Buuuut we need registration up!!!

sorry if I'm a bit late for this but I'm definitely down for a meet. I'm stationed at Scott AFB, which is all of 30 minutes from downtown STL. I've been there for over 3 years now so I know the area kind of well, and I'll be coming back from my deployment by the end of May hopefully. I just joined Chitown Subaru on fb last night too and I've seen some posts and promotion about it there. I think the whole thing is a great idea and I'd be happy to help with organizing/planning if it became an annual meet, as long as I'm still stationed here.

I'll also put out the word to some buddies of mine from base, we have a pretty decent sized subaru family on base. I also know some guys at Fort Lost n the Woods(Ft. Leonard Wood) and Whiteman AFB that I think would be down for something like this. But shoot me a PM or we can chat here, and if we can solidfy some dates/times/locations, I'm sure if we wrote in to a magazine or two they wouldn't mind putting out a blurb or something for added promotion.(done something similar for military functions)

Also, clicked the link you had for registration, and it was a no-go. Came up with a blank internet page.

No cell phone access while you're deployed mate. haha security risks and such. And even if I could rates are crazy expensive even with the global phones and "unlimted" this and that.

Hey i will be posting this to my car Club "AR Scoobies" we have about 40 or so people in the club and growing every day. We are all live in Arkansas .. and since there isnt a section for us in Nasioc i guess this is our intro lolol .. Im stationed at Little Rock AFB as a majority of our members are...
