How many miles do you have to break it in before they do full boost dyno tuning?

300-500 good break-in miles. No highway. Varying loads and RPM's. Basically dedicated driving with the purpose of breaking in the motor.

That is only good for a full tilt 93oct tune. I can't do an e85 tune until 1,000 miles of that due to how cold that fuel burns. I think I am going to wait until February or March when the blend gets better anyway.

30k warranty? How do they possibly offer that? Or confirm mileage? Does track use invalidate it? I'm sure I'd wear them out in less than that.

Can't wait to see the final tune!

The only issue they have is noticeable camber wear. It's also prorated.

What do you mean? And like Ben says, how would it actually work? Curious as I plan to run them next summer. PS, would you think that 255/35s would be too wide for a 8.75" wheel?

Noticeable camber wear is obvious when the suspension is set aggressively. (Inner tread of the tire having significantly less tread depth). It could be inferred that with such wear, the tire was used for other the standard driving practices. If the car is anything but a weekend car, PSSs are the way to go. The price is a bargain considering the tread wear. Any buyer has to account for the variables theyre driving in. Dry performance and wet performance are very generalized. Ambient temp, tarmac temp, wet vs standing water, depth of standing water, continuous water movement...etc etc etc. 255 is nice for 8.75 if it's not a bloated tire.

E85 tune... if the goal is safety and to take it easy, it's a good idea to get tuned on the lower E content. It'll keep the car safe on the summer blend too.

Less than 48hrs til go time!

That is why I want it on the Feb/March blend. Safe tune on that fuel will drop my car right in the middle of the three grades. Enough power while also being safe on any mix.

The PSS sound pretty nice. I wonder if they'd have an issue with obvious heat/wear on the outside of the tire from road course use. It's fairly obvious mine have seen a little track time. I don't have terrible camber wear, but I'm sure there is some.

I'm thinking of trying the Federal 595 RSR for my next tire. They're really cheap and are supposed to be a great ultra high performance tire on the street, with pretty good life. I think I'm going to try and see how long the Star Specs last though. Possibly through the summer with no track time, but 1 track session will probably kill them.

Not as bad as my brother's Nitto NT05's though. They're really sticky, but he has worn through them in a few months of street use and one time on the road course. I think they're a good tire, but the life is not great.

Getting a moderate, midgrade E85 tune is a good choice. I think you'll be fine running that year round. I monitor my AFR's as the fuel mix changes it is really isn't all that much of a difference. If you're not on a kill tune you likely won't need changes for each season.

Yes it has. Time to put on a couple more break-in miles then strap her down at TopSpeed Motorsports.

We didn't have time to finish today on the dyno. There was only one other tune scheduled for today and the car bought the car used. It ended up having the grounds all screwed up and the wrong fuel pump in it so it took FOREVER. By the time we got mine on, we only had a little bit of time to work with it. We ended the day at 406/390.

Leaving the shop. I had a green arrow to turn left (and the lights were green on my side for straight). The guy on the opposite side stopped at his red light then turned right on red right into me. Damaged the hell out of the passenger side of my car. Luckily, it appears to just be the door and fender since he was in a Toyota Sequoia. Should be an easy fix that just looks really bad. He didn't hit the wheel or anything below about half way down the door. Just really frustrated…

Super frustrating though Rob, definitely a terrible way to end the day, especially just before Christmas. Same thing happened to me last year... Girl changed lanes without checking her blind spot and used her Charger to crush in my front fender, not as bad as what you have done, but I still know how you feel bro!

I know that feel bro. But bottom line, youre safe and in the end its just a car, even though to us its obviously more than that. To me the biggest frustrating part was the sheer fact that the accident was 100% out ofy control...well now you can get a nice rental and just beat the living **** out of it. I ended up upping the boost on my chevy sonic rental
