UGH... I work across Grand from Gurnee Mills and just got to my place in Arlington Heights after a two hour drive. If I knew someone was going to be there, I would've stuck around.

Been out with my ContourHD for a while now. I need a bigger parking lot to get some speed and momentum.

Haha! I feel your pain! It started snowing while I was at class and had my summers on. Then I drove on them to Firestone to mount my new winters. Then I drove home. Night and day. Nightmare and daydream...

BTW, Nokian Hakka R ---- HOLY CRAP! What an awesome drive home Eat it, snow!

Aaaand all of the big parking lots by me are plowed. Dammit. Any suggestions for the Arlington/Schaumburg area?

Edit: Disregard! Find a few untouched lots.

Any safe places around/in Chicago cop wise? Any one actually have experience with cops giving tickets/ showing up and letting you go without one?

I picked a bad day to stay at work late. I bet the commute home is going to suck 2 hours from now.

It was pretty lame. We had enough on the roads and parking lots to play with, but it was a wet, slushy mess.

Up near the WI border we would be lucky to call it a 1/2". Very let down. Co workers said to expect between 6 and 10 inches of snow. Fingers are crossed we get dumped on soon, I pick up my blizzaks tonight!

Had fun tonight after work, slippery enough that even my little 2.0 could spin the Blizzaks in 2nd (didn't try 3rd) on boost. But that just means I was train lengths ahead of all the other traffic pulling from lights (4 lane divided highway with lights 1 mile apart, speed limit 55, in dry most people do 65+, not plowed at all).

Then up to some roundabouts, passing all sorts of people, a Cherokee actually seemed to be able to keep up a bit. Then onto some parking lots and an unfinished subdivision. Good time, got home and had Jambalaya and sausages.
