First snow here in Grand Rapids. First time driving in snow with new car. I was not expecting the rear to break so easily in the snow. Both awesome for hoonage but bad for daily driving. Also, I sorta expected the extreme contacts to have more grip in snow but what can I say I bought all seasons over winter (too poor). What psi are you guys running in the snow? Mine are probably too high, 34-35psi. Anytime I drop below 34 psi the damn low tire light comes up.

If anything you want to run higher psi due to the temperature difference between summer/winter: http://www.tirerack.com/winter/tech/...jsp?techid=168

What about different front and back pressure for maximum handling?

I go with 1-3 PSI more up front because their is more weight up there but any variations beyond that may cause uneven wear. Also, it may not be the best for the AWD system.

Lucky you, dealer quoted me $849 for the axle assembly only! Good thing I found a refurbished one at Napa for $150 (just need to buy it first lol). They said that the axle is the same for either side, can anyone confirm this?

Very aware of this. I just live in New York where my grill looks/looked a lot different from factory. Wrx grilles are cool too though but I'd almost prefer this if I could find one!
