Default Looking put in a new head unit!

I was wandering if this setup would work in my 2008 subaru impreza 2008 2.5i hatchback. Everything is stock right now, other than that I have sub hooked up, but its not running to the head unit at all. I am looking to put in a Clarion cx501 or cx201. Would this fit in my car, and would it make any difference if I bough the cx201 (4 channel) vs the cx501 (6 channel)?

Here are links to everything im looking to buy to make this work.

Mount KitMount Kit

Is this everything I will need and will it all work out? If not can someone help me out and point me in the right direction? Thanks everyone in advance!

If you're only running an amplified subwoofer and no amplified speakers, then you're only going to be using one set of preamps (2 channels), so the 4 channel (CX201) will do everything you need, plus if you ever wanted to replace your front door speakers and amplify them, you could use the remaining 2 preamps to do that. IF you were going to, say, amplify your front and rear door speakers, you'd need the CX501 with the 6 preamps.

I can't really tell you anything about the wire harness or the mount kit because I don't know what stereo/nav setup your car has.

Crutchfield is a great resource to see what you need for an install. Even if you order from a different site.

Thats the same HU I have, its on my list to replace lol

I would personally buy the 501, if you want to expand later, you have F/R/S RCA outputs already..

The harness you need, the moutning kit you don't, you re-use the factory brackets...

Should be simple..

So my factory brackets will fit on the 501 and 201?
